Poker Strategies
Its important to know all the Odds and Rules of Poker (or any gambling venture)
before you play it. Also its important to remember different types of Poker
games come with different rules. And a Good Poker player should always
be asking himself/herself these three questions:"Should I 'Ante up'?" "Is the pot
worth it?" "Should I 'Fold'?".
In Poker Sometime it?s worth going against the Odds of getting a winning hand,
if the stakes of the pot are high enough.
Example:
If the pot value is worth $1000.00 and you have to put in $10.00 to stay in the
game the Odds are, 1/100. That means you have a chance to win one hundred times
what you have to put in. In that case you would certainly want to put in your
$10.00 in and keep playing. However if the stakes of the pot are fairly low and
you have a bad hand you should probably "Fold".
To Bluff or Not to Bluff? That is The Question.
A lot of beginner Poker players think that ?Bluffing? is the key to winning. Bluffing
can certainly be a useful tool while playing a game of poker, but it does not guarantee
a victory. Players get caught bluffing all too often.
There are a lot of Pros out their waiting to take advantage of beginners. So the #1 rule
of Poker is to choose your game wisely, and make sure you know who your playing against.
For the novice Online Poker is safer than being in an actual casino. When playing poker
online start with low-stakes. That way you can sum up how good the other players are, this
will help you avoid the sharks.
