Proposition Bets

"Proposition bets", are bad bets. "Proposition bets' are determined on one roll of the dice, and the houses edge is Very high about 11%. Also Stay away from placing "Lay bets"! The low odds and 5% vig makes this bet a very unfavorable one. You can make "Buy bets" seldomly. "Buy bets" a 5% commission(vig) however they have better odds than "Lay bets". They even have the ability to lower the house edge more than "Place bets". Keep in mind when placing a "Buy bet" the only numbers that give you two to one odds(in the players favor) are the ten and the four.

Place Bets

Making "Place bets" can be very useful, although to be able to make full payoff odds using the "Place bet", you will need to bet multi-denominationally. Bet multiples of $6.00 on the six and eight. And $5.oo, on the four, five, nine and ten. Other amounts would produce unevenly and the casino would round down making it an even payoff amount.

Free Odds

The rest of the bets are as followed: "Come", "Don't Come","Pass","Dont Pass" and "Free Odds". For most people "Pass Line" bets are the easiest to use, because of their low house advantages.

Make "Free Odds" bets every chance you get!!! "Free Odd" bets, are wagers made on existing passes("Come","Pass",etc...). "Free Odds" pays off true odds instead of house odds. Casinos do not make a dime off of a winning "Free Odds" wagers, as they do on a winning pass line bets.(note: to max full returns on payouts wager in increments.)
