BlackJack (Rules)

When playing blackjack your goal is to beat the dealer's hand without going over 21.

Aces are worth 1 or 11, Face cards are worth 10. And the rest hold their face value.

Each player is dealt two cards, the dealer's hides one of his cards until the end of the game.

If you want to another card say "Hit". The card will be dealt and added to your total. You can "hit" as many times as you like so long as you don't go over 21 You can also choose to "Stand". This holds your total and ends your turn.

Anything over 21 is called a bust, that means the dealer wins by default.

If you are dealt 21 at the beginning of the game (Ace & K/Q/J or 10),Thats "Blackjack!" you won. Usually one & one half times your bet. Depending on the casinos rules.

Dealer stays on anything that is 17 or above.

If you "Double Down" the bet is doubled and you must take a hit(a card).

A Split may only be preformed on the first move and If you have two cards that have the same face value (8 & 8 for example). The pair is split into two hands, each then must be ?hit? on. Splitting makes each new hand worth the original bet. In other words doubling the bet. It?s possible to make four times your original bet with a Split.
