Baccarat (Rules)
The objective of Baccarat is not unlike Blackjacks, but rather than getting
as close to 21 and possible you must get as close to 9 as possible.
Baccarat is played on a large table which is surrounded by casino patrons. Any
person around the table may bet on either the house to win, the player to win,
or a tie to occur. After all the bets are in, four cards will be dealt face-down.
Two cards to the dealer, and two cards to the player. Once all cards have been
dealt, they will be flipped reveling there total. At that point of the game the
players? options would be to take a third card, or Stand with his/her current total
(the dealer would also be granted the same options). No one player may have more
that three cards total.
Card Value and Adding up Your Score:
The card values are simple, cards two through nine hold their face value, ten and
above are worth zero.
To tally your score you simply add the face value of your cards, subtract ten from
anything totaling ten or above. Two cards having a total of nine automatically wins.
Example 1:
Six plus six equals twelve, minus ten equals two (6+6 = 12, -10 = 2).
Example 2:
Seven plus three equals ten, minus ten equals zero (7+3 = 10, -10 = 0).
Example 3:
Seven and two equals nine and an automatic win (7+2 = 9 = Winner).
